Eyelid surgery

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve and create a more youthful appearance for patients with eyelid deformities, puffiness or bags under the eyelids and excessively loose eyelid skin.

Eyelid surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia. The procedure can be carried out so that the scars remain concealed within the eyelid's natural creases. The excess skin in the lower and/or upper eyelids is removed with or without removing the fatty tissue.

After surgery, there will be some degree of bruising and swelling for a few days. Dr. Said will give you detailed instructions on how to best handle your recovery.

The possible complications associated with eyelid surgery include soreness, swelling, bruising, itchy eyes, sensitivity to light, pigmentation changes, poor healing of the skin, uneven appearance, hematoma and sensation disturbances.

The outcome of eyelid surgery will dramatically improve your appearance and give you a fresher and more youthful look.
