Thigh lift

Thigh lift is a surgical procedure that addresses the sagging skin in the thigh area. Patients choose this procedure to target the accumulation of excessive skin and fat from the inside of the thighs which are the result of the natural aging process, genetics or fluctuations in weight. Patients opt for this procedure after failure or trouble in eliminating excess fat through diet and exercise, or to treat the reduced skin elasticity that occurs with aging.

Thigh lift is performed under general or local anesthesia. The procedure involves an incision that is made at the junction of the thigh and pubic area. This incision can extend downward to the thigh through which the underlying tissue is reshaped, tightened and the skin is reduced for a smoother pleasing contour.

After surgery, there will be some degree of discomfort, bruising and swelling, which may last for a few days. Strenuous activities must be avoided for several weeks and a compression garment must be worn for the recommended period of time. Dr. Said will give you detailed instructions on how to best handle your recovery.

The risks and complications associated with thigh lift include bruising, swelling, infection, hematoma, seroma, poor wound healing, tight feeling in the thighs and unfavorable scarring.

The outcomes are long-lasting and you will have firmer thighs that are proportional to your body shape.
