Brow lift

Forehead lift or brow lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure performed to treat conditions associated with aging, or for people who have developed furrows or frown lines due to stress, muscled activity, inherited conditions such as low, heavy brow or furrowed lines above the nose. People opt for this procedure to reduce signs of aging in the forehead or brow area; to minimize creases and lines that develop across the forehead and high on the nasal bridge; to improve frown lines and reposition sagging or low brows; and to raise the eyebrows to a fresher and more youthful position.

Brow lift is performed under general anesthesia. The procedure can be performed by an incision across the top of your head or behind the hairline, or it can be done endoscopically through small incisions. During the procedure the forehead muscles will be altered and the tissues will be reshaped and tightened to restore a smoother and youthful contour to the upper face.

After surgery, there will be some degree of discomfort, bruising and swelling for a few days. A bandage dressing must be worn for a couple of days. Dr. Said will give you detailed instructions on how to best handle your recovery.

The risks and complications associated with brow lift include soreness, swelling, bruising, raised hairline, unfavorable scarring, nerve damage, skin loss, poor wound healing, hematoma, infection and skin contour irregularities.

The effect of brow lift is a refreshed and appealing appearance that can last from 5 to 10 years.
