Buttock lift

Of the available cosmetic procedures, buttock lift is a surgical procedure that is growing in popularity and aims to remove excess fat or skin at the gluteal area. The procedure also tightens the surrounding tissue in order to reshape, improve and reposition the buttocks to their natural position. Patients often opt for this procedure because of drastic changes in gluteal shape, volume and position that may occur with aging and weight changes.

The procedure is performed under general anesthesia. It involves the removal of excess skin and fat through incisions across the top or bottom of the buttock. The final scar will be concealed and hidden at the buttocks' natural crease.

After surgery, there will be some degree of discomfort, bruising and swelling for a few days. Strenuous activities must be avoided for several weeks and a compression garment must be worn for the recommended period of time. Dr. Said will give you detailed instructions on how to best handle your recovery.

The risks and complications associated with gluteoplasty are swelling, bruising, numbness, tight feeling in the operated area, pain, infection, hematoma, seroma, poor wound healing, asymmetry and shift of the implants.

The patient can expect a more harmonious gluteal shape, and a more youthful and symmetrical buttock that will last for several years, but the effects of surgery might be influenced by aging and fluctuations in weight.
